L’Jarius Sneed, cornerback for the Kansas City Chiefs, has teamed up with Zarda BBQ to make an incredible new sandwich – The KC Takeaway – for an incredible cause, Sneed’s “Turn the Corner” campaign benefiting Big Brothers Big Sisters Kansas City.
The KC Takeaway is a BBQ sandwich lover’s dream! This one of a kind taste sensation starts with a generous portion of Zarda’s award-winning Limited Reserve Burnt Ends, melted Pepper Jack cheese, juicy pulled pork, thin-sliced ham, and Sneed’s favorite Zarda Bar-B-Q sauce (he’s not telling which one – he says it’s a secret!), all piled high on a toasted Roma bun. It’s the perfect way to enjoy your KC Football Game Day as Sneed and the rest of the Chiefs “D” go to work to get their own KC Takeaway on the field!
Better yet, a portion of the proceeds from the KC Takeaway will be donated in support of Sneed’s “Turn the Corner” campaign, which he launched in 2021 to benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters Kansas City. Last year, donations raised through “Turn the Corner” helped support existing BBBS KC’s matches by funding sports equipment, camps, swim lessons, musical instruments, and prom attire for Littles. BBBS KC works to make an impact in Kansas City by connecting children with positive role models who help empower them and provide the resources they need to reach their full potential. We have no doubt we can raise even more this season!

The KC Takeaway is available for the entire 2022-2023 Chiefs season starting Red Friday, September 9, 2022. You can enjoy this mouthwatering sandwich at Zarda locations in Lenexa and Blue Springs for Dine-In, Carry-Out, Drive-Thru, or Order Online.
Hy-Vee has also partnered with Zarda to offer the KC Takeaway at 21 Kansas City metro area, St. Joseph, and Lawrence Hy-Vee Store locations – both at their Hy-Vee Market Grilles and at Wahlburgers within Hy-Vee locations.
