Get the Word Out
Participation in the event is the #1 way to ensure its success, so the engagement of your group and spreading the word is essential. The greater number of members of your group that participate in the give back night, the greater the opportunity for more funds being raised. Participation is the key to holding a successful Give Back night!
Once a date and time are agreed upon, we ask that you begin sharing Give Back night details with everyone in your organization – along with family members, friends, on social media platforms, through email lists, etc. To help with promoting your event, Zarda will provide you with a digital file that can be shared on social media and through email – and/or printed and hand distributed. The more engagement from your organization, the more successful and profitable your Give Back night will be!
Volunteers
On the day of the Give Back night, we ask that you provide a minimum of 4 adult chaperones. Child volunteers & chaperones should arrive at the restaurant 15 minutes prior to the start of the Give Back night.
- Child volunteers will be asked to clear tables & chairs in the dining room, call out order numbers, getting guests drink refills & to-go boxes, welcoming, thanking, and informing guests about the organization. Child volunteers will be assigned 30 minute shifts.
- Volunteer’s clothing for the event should be weather appropriate business casual attire. We also suggest that the volunteers dress similarly so guests recognize they are with the organization hosting the Give Back night. For example, spirit wear from a school is great! Other organizations may choose branded polo shirts or just shirts with matching colors. Zarda will provide aprons for volunteers as well.
- Open-toe footwear is not be permitted. Closed-toe shoes must be worn by all volunteers.
- Information Table: If space permits, you may bring a small table with information regarding your organization or purpose. Discuss this with your event coordinator prior to the Give Back night.
