L’Jarius Sneed, Kansas City Chiefs cornerback, partners up with Zarda for another season to help support Big Brothers Big Sisters Kansas City!
Sneed’s all-pro Zarda sandwich – the KC Takeaway – is back at both Zarda locations in Blue Springs and Lenexa starting Wednesday, August 30, 2023.
The KC Takeaway is a BBQ sandwich lover’s dream! This one-of-a-kind taste sensation starts with a generous portion of Zarda’s award-winning Limited Reserve Burnt Ends, melted Pepper Jack cheese, juicy pulled pork, thin-sliced ham, and Sneed’s favorite Zarda Bar-B-Q sauce (he’s not telling which one – he says it’s a secret!), all piled high on a toasted Roma bun. It’s the perfect way to enjoy your KC Football Game Day as Sneed and the rest of the Chiefs “D” go to work to get their own KC Takeaway on the field!
Better yet, a portion of the proceeds from the KC Takeaway will be donated in support of Sneed’s “Turn the Corner” campaign, which he launched in 2021 to benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters Kansas City.

Starting Wednesday, August 30, The KC Takeaway is available and continues through the entire Kansas City Chiefs 2023-24 football season at both Zarda Bar-B-Q locations for dine-in, carryout, drive-thru, or via online orders through Zarda.com. The KC Takeaway will also be available at all area Hy-Vee Market Grille and Hy-Vee Wahlburgers locations starting Wednesday, September 6 throughout the Chiefs season from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily.
